 kikki-k planner pages
February

I am playing catch-up with posting planner pages for the month of February. Below you will see a few pages I created for my Kikki-k planner.
The washi tape is from Joann's and Michael's. The stickers are from HL.

The washi tape is from the Target dollar bin and Joann's The stickers I found on the military base in Albuquerque. I created the heart with washi tape and a paper punch.
The washi tape is from Michael's and the sticker I found at a Wal-mart in Albuquerque. I created the grass border using a paper punch and washi tape.
The washi tape is from Michael's. I used an EK Success paper punch and washi tape to create the banner.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Polymer Charms for a Notebook
February 20, 2015

Good morning!
I found a cute notebook at Walmart a few weeks ago and decided to jazz it up a bit. The tag (Today was a very good day) on the front of the notebook is a card from WeRMemory Keepers note card for scrapbooking. Washi tape was placed on the top and bottom to secure the card. The cute stickers are from HL (Hobby Lobby). I also attached two charms I made (donut and palette) to a Tim Holtz key chain and attached it to my notebook.
Have a great day!

Polymer Clay Charms

Good morning!
Last Summer I purchased the book Clay Charms by KLUTZ. I found a copy at Joann's and used the 50% off coupon, I think the final price was around $11. This is a great book for a beginner crafter that does not have the tools and ingredients for creating clay charms. Inside the book is a variety of clay, eye pins, glaze, a detailed book....etc etc. Last night my kids and I used the Sculpey Mold Maker to create cupcake molds. This is a cheaper version of the Amazing Mold Putty. We each made our own cupcake mold, above you can see the cupcake I made using the mold. I found a few videos on youtube about creating molds for polymer clay. I purchased a little bag of mini-Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and used a cup to create my cupcake mold. I am going to try other items to try and create an even smaller cupcake mold in the future.

2015 Valentine's Day Card and treat

Good morning!
Here is the Valentine's Day treat my daughter is taking to school this week.

The first project: monkey clothespin
clothespin from: Walmart
monkey from page 46 of Create a Critter
Here are the paper size requirements:
black: 1.833 x 2.5
paper size needed 2 1/2 x 3
l. brown: 1.833 x 2.5
paper size needed 2 1/2 x 3
d. brown: 1.833 x  2.5
paper size 2 1/2 x 3
If you are creating multiple shapes, a 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock will fit 28 with the above measurements.
Attach all pieces together with Quickdry glue. Finished product is attached to a clothespin with a gluegun.
The second project:
Valentine's Day card
My Creative Time die (embossed gift card holder)
Kraft cardstock from Joann's
3 1/2 x 2 1/2 white cardstock for front of card
ink: studiog pigment ink (Walmart)
Stampin' Up embossing powder
stamps used: My Craft Spot & Lawn Fawn
My daughter created the heart shaped crayons. We used a silicon heart shaped baking sheet and added crumbled crayons at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes.
When attached, the monkey becomes a name tag.
If you have any questions, please leave a message in the comment section. Thanks!

Happy Valentine's Day container
January 28, 2015

Good morning!
Here is a picture of a craft I just made.
I purchased a light blue container at HL (Hobby Lobby) yesterday. The original price was $2.99, I am pretty sure the Spring collection (where the container is from) is 50% off. The pink and purple vinyl is the HL brand I purchased a couple years ago.
Here are the specifics on the vinyl:
cartridge: Create a Critter 2 page 33
Happy Valentine's Day (5.708x3.569)
size of pink vinyl needed 4 1/2 x 6 1/2)
Valentine's (5.75 x 1.458)
size of purple vinyl needed 2 x 6 1/2

I am sending this to school with my daughter to tote her Valentines in an leaving it for her teacher to keep.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Have a great day!:0)

Beaded Planner Charm

Here are the items I used to create my beaded planner charm.
Here is a close-up of the items I purchased today at HL (Hobby Lobby).
I purchased the beads last summer at a bead shop in Albuquerque called Poppyfield Bead Company. They have a webpage and blog.
http://poppybeads.com/    http://beadfingers.blogspot.com/
Check it out when you get a chance.

The horse charm I picked up this morning at HL.
Let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Have a great rest of the day!

Valentine's Day Wreath

This is a Valentine's Day wreath I made for my daughter's bedroom door. I wrapped a foam circle wreath I found at the Dollar Tree with brown yarn. The saying and the koala are shapes I cut from the Create a Critter 2 cartridge. Below is a closer picture.

Have a great night!

Planner Charm
January 19, 2015

Good afternoon!
We went to the Galleria last weekend and I purchased my FIRST Filofax, a Ochra Malden.

I've seen so many bloggers that have charms on their planners. I think in the future I will try and make one with beads; but for now, I am sharing an idea I came up with yesterday.
I love the charms at James Avery, BUT I did not notice any charms with a lobster claw. I DID notice Brighton had charms with a lobster claw. I brought my planer to try it out.....AND it worked!
Just a couple notes in case you decide you would like to add one to your planner. Only one charm can be added to the lobster claw because of the size of the opening of the lobster claw. You can interchange the charms! How cool is that!

Ok, I have one more post to make, hope you like the planner charm.
Have a great night!

January 11, 2015

Good evening!
Here are a couple of pictures of my planner set-up.
I got a Mint Kikki-k planner for Christmas. I am still working on the set-up....but here is what I have so far.....
the outside

.....lots of pockets in the front.
Behind the pockets I keep my (volunteer) stickers and stamps. On the planned volunteer day I have a sticker for the school that I volunteer at. I have a green and yellow plastic folder which I am currently using to place receipts...thought that may change.

I laminated and placed holes in a postcard I purchased in New Mexico. I am using the back as a sort of dashboard to place post-its.

I used washi tape to attach laminated school pix of my kiddos.

JANUARY 2015
planner pages
I found the stickers at HL (Hobby Lobby), I believe I purchased the washi tape online from Joann's.
The bug stickers are from Target.
To create the banner: I placed washi tape on post-it paper and punched the banner shape out with a paper punch.
The whale stickers are from Target. I used a Fiskars wave punch to cut out the waves using washi tape.
The washi tape is from a Christmas collection I found at Michael's.
I found a cute cat and dog sticker set at Wal-mart on clearance. The washi tape I purchased on-line from Joann's. I used a Fiskars grass paper punch to shape the washi tape.
Aren't the cute little dogs perfect for Valentine's Day?! I found them at Wal-mart. The top washi tape I found at Target in the dollar bin and the bottom washi tape I purchased on-line from Joann's.
This is the back of my planner.....it still needs work....but I'm getting there.
Here are a couple charms I made for my planner....I made a little apple and a pink crab. lol
Here are a couple items in their original packages....just in case you like it .... you will know where to look for it.

Hope you enjoyed the photos and maybe even feel a little inspired to get crafty with your planner.
Till next time....have a great night!
