January 29, 2012 Nature Book (for Blue and Gold)

Good Evening everyone!
Woooooowhooo!!!! I am done.
This is the last part of the decorations for the tables at Blue and Gold.

I made 10 books; one for each Scout in the Wolf Den.:0)

Here is what I used to make them....
Cartridge: Campin' Critters : book
Cardstock: Recollections : binding and lettering
                  Bazzil (book)
Glue: Glossy Accents
Crop-a-dile

I used the Glossy Accents because it seems to be a good hold for the binding.
The paper inside is just plain printer paper cut to size. There is a template on the cartridge; but I just decided it would be quicker to cut and score the pages.

Hope you like them.
Have a great night!:0)

Here is what I used:
cartridges: Campin' Critters and Campin Out
cardstock: solid - Recollections
pattern - Recollections (Simply Autumn) and DCWV (All about boys)

January 12, 2012 Shape Card (Birthday Card)

Good afternoon.
I made a little card for my friend's daughters birthday.
I have been wanting the Kate's ABC's cartridge for a while.
I found it on sale at Joann's yesterday.
Hope you like it.;0)

Here is what I used:
Cartridge: Elegant Edges
                  Kate's ABC's
Cardstock: base - Recollections
patterned paper - DCWV Nana's Nursery
                   plain - (old) SU

On the card base I welded two shapes; one was flipped. The hearts were hid in both shapes. I copied one card shape and minimized it about a 1/4 of an inch for the top layer.

I entered this card in the :

January 9, 2012 Small Valentine's Day card (2 3/4 x 3 3/4)

Good evening everyone!
I found some super cute brown envelopes a few weeks back at Archiver's.
It was $2.99 for 12 envelopes (4 x 3.75 in).
I thought it would be cute to put the little envelopes inside the treat bags for my daughter's class.

I am linking this up with http://www.pinkcricut.com/2012/01/to-link-party/
What are You up to? Link up party;0)

This is what I used to make the little owl Valentine's day cards......
Cardstock (base) : Recollections in brown
                  (cover): K&C Company
                  (solids): (old) SU
                  (pattern): K&C Company
Paper punch: Fiskars
Cartridge: Create A Critter

I started off with a piece of 3 3/4 x 5 1/2 inch brown cardstock and scored it at 2 3/4.
I used the Fiskards paper punch on the front piece of the card.
I cut a piece of cream cardstock at 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 for the front of the card.
I cut a piece of patterned paper at 1 1/2 x 3 3/4 for the front of the card.
The patterned cardstock was attached to the cream cardstock with double-sided tape to hold it in place while sewing the pieces together.
Next I used the paper punch on the attached pieces.
I sewed the cream and patterned cardstock next.
After the pieces were sewn together I attached them to the card base with double-stick tape.
The owl and branch pieces were next cut out and attached to the card using zip dry glue.

Hope you like it. If you have any questions....please feel free to write it in the comment section.
TFL and have a great night!;0)

January 7, 2012 Love Sign

Hello!
Here is a little banner I made.
It is my first Valentine's Day project.

Here are the "ingredients" I used to make it:
Coasters: Michael's ($1.50) Dollar Bin Christmas
Cartridges: Base Camp and Create A Critter
Paper: (old) SU and K&C Company
Eyelets: Recollections (4.7mm)
Crop-a-dile
Ribbon: Michael's
i-rock: white bling
Heart buttons: Michael's

Directions:
1.   Apply double-stick tape on backside of coasters; add cardstock about 1/4 inch larger than
coaster. Repeat till all coasters are covered.
2.   Use foam sanding block on edges of each coaster. This will shape the paper to the
      coaster.
3.   Make a (paper) template with holes at 1/4 inch down.....and 1 inch in at each side.
4.   Place template on top of coaster and punch holes. Repeat to the bottom of each coaster.
5.   Add eyelets.
6.   Add ribbon.
7.   Use Cricut (Base Camp) to cut out the letters LOVE using the regular font and shadow
      feature.
8.   Use Cricut (Create a Critter) to cut out monkey and vine.
9.   Apply letters to coasters using Zip Dry.
10. Apply monkey and vine to coaster using Zip Dry.
11. Use i-rock to apply white bling.
12. Sew heart buttons on bottom of ribbon.

Thanks for looking. Hope you have a great day!:0)
