September 24, 2011 Fall Wreath (first wreath)

Hello!!!
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
It is a nice sunny day here is North Houston.
I finally made my first wreath! I think I may make seasonal ones that I can change....we will see. :0)

First, for laughs....I bouht a raffia wreath at Michael's. I should have taken a picture of it for a "What not to do" blog spot.:P I accidentally cut the plastic part that held it together. It was quite a sight. This morning I went back to Michael's to get a "much sturdier" wreath. lol

Ok....here is what I used to make it:
cardstock: (old) SU and DCWV (Green Stack)
bag ties: the kind that come with the favor treat bags
wreath: Michael's
Cartridges: Simply Charmed (scarecrow girl and boy, wording)
Everyday Paper Dolls (bushel, apples, leaves, and acorn)
                    Create a Critter (pumpkin)
Glitter: MS
Xyron
scoreboard: MS
border punches: MS and Fiskars

I ran the leaves and acorn thru the xyron to make the fronts sticky.....then added the MS glitter.
I wrapped  the bag ties in the area I wanted the shape (rosette). I then used the hot glue gun to adhere the rosette to the bag tie. I am "hoping" I can just snip the bag tie off later and switch out the rosettes later.:)
If you have any questions, please leave me a message.:0)
Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Here are a few crafts I just finished.
I wanted to make my son's para and teacher a pail for their Halloween treats to go in.
Aren't the clear pails the best containers?!!!!

Here is what I used to make them:
ribbon: Michael's (50% off this week....woot!)
cardstock: (old) SU
cartridge: MiniMonsters
lollipop sticks: Michael's  (if you need longer sticks...you can always cut them shorter with a pair of wire cutters)
yellow basket: Big Lots

September 7, 2011 Halloween Pencil Toppers

Here is a cute little character my son picked out to use as a pencil topper. I took a few pix, kinda of a photo tutorial. I am pretty sure this is some sort of ribbon paper punch...but this is what I use it for.: I like making little pencil toppers to jazz them up a bit.:O)

Here is what I used to create them:
Cardstock: (old) SU
Cartridge: MiniMonsters
Paper punch: McGills
Double-sided tape: Scotch

Ok, I guess I will be making ..... oh 30+ of these lil' guys tomorrow. Have a great day everyone!!!!

September 7, 2011 Box with Teacher Notecards

Good afternoon!!!!
Yesterday I made some cards for my son's teacher. I found a cute (old school) white pencil box at Michael's. It cost less than $2.00. I decorated the outside of the box using the same paper I put on the notecards. I really wanted to use the Cuttlbebug apple emobss card....that is what motivated me:P
Here is what I used for the project:

Printed cardstock: DCWV Grade School Stack
Plain cardstock: old (SU)
Paper punch: Fiskars
Raffia: Wal-mart
Cartridge: Create a Critter
