June 22, 2012 Wryn - Grow a little love

Good afternoon and Happy Friday everyone!!! Today I made a card using a digital stamp from: http://www.tiddlyinks.com/wryn-and-friends/. The characters name is Wryn. I made a VERY early birthday card for my mom using the digital stamp.  For the card base I used Kraft cardstock from Hobby Lobby, it is cut at 5  1/2 x 8 1/2. The blue gingham paper is from K&C Company Itsy Bitsy, it is cut at 4 x 5 1/4.  The little yellow strip at the bottom is from Recollections (Michael's) and it is cut at 1 x 4. The beige felt was cut using a Spellbinders die as well as the white cardstock.  The cute little buttons I found a while back at Michael's.  The digital stamp is Wryn - Grow in Love from: http://www.tiddlyinks.com/wryn-and-friends/ Have a great weekend everyone:0)

June 9, 2012 Thank You card using (old) Stampin' Up (SU)

Good afternoon! Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday. I am "trying" to use my older SU paper so I can "finally" purchase new SU paper. This, may take a while. lol The card below I made using (all) old SU paper The pretty flower punch my friend Kathy gave me.:0) She is also the one that "always" helps me with my layout dilemas. lol Thank goodness for cellphones with cameras. ha! The cute little button is from my stash, I am pretty sure I purchased is at Wal-mart...a VERY long time ago; as well as the white ribbon I used. The stamp I used is from SU "Simply Said." I took a shiskabob stick and cut it to size, since the toothpicks were too small. If you have any questions....please leave me a message below. Have a great weekend!!!:0)

May 23, 2012 It's Summer (Summer Wreath .... minus the apostrophe.....)lol

Good afternoon everyone. I am not sure why...but this project took me a really long time. I need to put my little apostrophe in my wreath too.....ooops! Ok....here is what I used to create the wreath..... I purchased a large foam ring at Michael's, as well as some pretty light blue yarn. I covered the ring of foam in yarn, that took a long time. I started in the inside of the wreath so you wouldn't see the glue as much. I used a hot glue gun. I used the "Life's a Beach" cartridge for everything BUT the wording ... The letters are from Base Camp. I didn't see an apostrophe...but there was quotation marks. I need to still add that. That is my go to cartridge for letters. Hope you like my project. Have a great day!:0)

April 1, 2012 Birthday Card

Good evening everyone. I think I am finally caught up on my April birthday cards.:0) I just finished a birthday card for my dear friend Kathy (which I hope is not reading this....lol). Here is what I used to create this sweet card..... I used Recollections Kraft  cardstock and it  is cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4. The first layer of cardstock is from DCWV Playtime stack (plaid) and it is cut at 5 1/4 x 4. The green paper is from Recollections and it is cut at 4 x 1. The cream colored cardstock is also Recollections and it is cut at  5 1/4 x 2 and I used a Fiskars border punch on one side. I purchased some super cute stamps at http://www.allthatscraps.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=650_1412 . The stamps I used were from C.C. Designs called Woodland Mushroom and Pixie Lucy. I colored the stamps in using Copic markers.  I used stickles on the wings after they were colored in. Have a great night!

March 21, 2012 Bunny Noses/Bunny Tails.....

Oooops! I forgot to take pictures of the bunny treat holder I made. Ok, last post today....I promise.:P I found this cute little turkey treat holder on: http://burtonavenue.blogspot.com/2011/11/turkey-favor-tins-tutorial.html  and thought a bunny would make a cute treat holder too. I used the bunny on Doodlecharms. I used cardstock from Recollections; both the cream and Kraft. On the nose I colored with a Copic marker and covered it with Glossy Accents. I used Tim Holtz distress ink in tea dye on the edges and on the tail. I am not sure if Iam going to fill the treat container with bunny noses or bunny tails...I guess it depends on what treats I can find to fill the little bunnies with. If you have any questions, please send an email. Have a great day!:0)

February 14, 2012 Sketchbook - Happy Valentine's Day!

Good morning everyone and Happy Valentine's Day! I finished my first sketchbook. It is more of a prototype.....since I am not sure if I am done adding things to it. lol Here is what I used to create my sketchbook: the Cinch the Cinch designer book board (6x6) the Cinch sprial binding wire (bark 1.0") paper: Recollections (Simply Autumn)            Recollections (Kraft)            (old) SU            DCWV the Pet Stack cartridges: From my Kitchen (page tabs)                  Elegant Edges (pg. 59 ....book) In order for the tab pages (From my Kitchen) to fit in the book, I cut them at 5.92 x 3.47 (I use my Gypsy). I had to cut an additional piece for the bottom of the page at 2x6 and that was sewn to the tab. I used Creating Keepsakes scrapbooking program to make the pages in the book. I am sure you could make your own using WORD or a similar program. The lined pages I found on http://www.printablepaper.net/   If you have any questions, feel fr
