July 23, 2011 mini-blackboard (teacher meet and greet)

Here is a chalkboard I jazzed up a bit. I made this for my son's teacher meet and greet. My friend Kathy suggested I write the teacher's name on the board, I think that will look cute.;0) I used Simply Charmed on all the shapes. The cardstock used was all (old) SU. Can you tell I am using (a lot) of old cardstock:P I am trying really had to go through it, really I am.:0) Ok, here is the project. Enjoy the rest of your weekend:0)

July 23, 2011 Birthday Card

July 23, 2011 Lapdesk for Car

I found a cute pink lapdesk at Michael's for my daughter. I added a little Hello Kitty and Simply Charmed to it. The letters in her name were used with Sesame Street Friends.

July 22, 2011 Refrigerator Magnets

This is my second attempt at making refrigerator magnets. The top picture is of the CD sleves I found at the Y100 store in Japan. If you have a local Japanese store, they may carry this item. In downtown Houston there is a FIT store located in the Asian district, they may carry it as well. I used the scrapbook paper that is in this picture. I really like it A LOT:0) I found the craft punch at Archiver's in Katy, TX; I am sure you can find it in your local craft store. Have a great weekend everyone:0)

July 19, 2011 Welcome Back (Teacher Basket)

Here is a little basket my son helped me put together. We attached lollipop sticks to the shapes. The shapes are from....Hello Kitty Greetings, CreateACritter, and Doodlecharms. The paper is from (older) SU, white cardstock (Walmart), and DCWV (The Green Stack). The border punch is my new toy from Michael's (Martha Stewart). Have a great day!!!:0)

July 18, 2011 First Attempt at cards

Happy Monday! Here are two cards I made today. I don't know why I find it so hard to make one from scratch, but I do. I am trying to use my old SU (Stampin Up) cardstock. The cardstock used to make the cards were SU and I found a really cute paperstack by DCWV called The Green Stack that was used on the butterfly. The punches I used were from Martha Stewart (border), SU (butterfly), and Marvy Uchida (scallop circle. The stamp is from SU (flight of the butterfly). I also used iRock on the butterfly. Hope you all are having a great Monday:0)

July 15, 2011 The Craftroom

Here are a couple pix of the craftroom. We are still working on organizing it. Last weekend we (and I do mean we, the whole family) went to our first CKC Scrapbooking Convention in The Woodlands. My (wonderful) hubby got me this craft desk.:0) pretty, huh? My son seems to think it is his too. lol:0) One of the pix has my wall mount that we found at the Conatiner Store. You can find different size metal shelves at a resonable price. PLUS, you can design your area any way you would like.:0) I had to add my framed fabric picture in there. We had picked out two designs of fabric while we were stationed in Japan for the baby bedding. This was the second choice. I love both of them. The first fabric choice, our awesome MIL made our son a really nice bedding set. It is now in our daughter's room.
