September 24, 2011 Fall Wreath (first wreath)

Hello!!! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. It is a nice sunny day here is North Houston. I finally made my first wreath! I think I may make seasonal ones that I can change....we will see. :0) First, for laughs....I bouht a raffia wreath at Michael's. I should have taken a picture of it for a "What not to do" blog spot.:P I accidentally cut the plastic part that held it together. It was quite a sight. This morning I went back to Michael's to get a "much sturdier" wreath. lol Ok....here is what I used to make it: cardstock: (old) SU and DCWV (Green Stack) bag ties: the kind that come with the favor treat bags wreath: Michael's Cartridges: Simply Charmed (scarecrow girl and boy, wording)                    Everyday Paper Dolls (bushel, apples, leaves, and acorn)                   ...

July 23, 2011 mini-blackboard (teacher meet and greet)

Here is a chalkboard I jazzed up a bit. I made this for my son's teacher meet and greet. My friend Kathy suggested I write the teacher's name on the board, I think that will look cute.;0) I used Simply Charmed on all the shapes. The cardstock used was all (old) SU. Can you tell I am using (a lot) of old cardstock:P I am trying really had to go through it, really I am.:0) Ok, here is the project. Enjoy the rest of your weekend:0)
